Bass multi-effects units

[jkn]

I've been avoiding gear lust for quite a while, but for some reason a bass multi-effect processor just twinkled in my eye when I saw it in a catalog. A Boss GT6B. Anyone got one? Happy? Sad? Moderately amused? I've read a few of the reviews at Harmony-Central. The amp modeling and (I'm assuming) cleaner processing then the one I have now - is what I'm most interested in I think - although mutilation of the sound is always fun.

I have an older model (ME8B - also by Boss) and have been happy with it for years. I don't need to switch - just thinking about it for fun. Maybe a birthday present later this summer?

Anyone else on here play bass? What sort of effects to you like to tinker with?
