I found two MC1595L which happens to be a wideband four quadrant multiplier!
Anybody ever worked with this chip, synthesizer wise?

Ah, same as 1495 - had a ring modulator with one of those ... it worked ... drawback of what I had at the time was that it was AC coupled, so not too useful as a VCA.
