Subject description: Pet project: looking for a way to cover my tiny OLED display

I'm working on a little DIY project and I'm getting to the enclosure part of the journey. I'm using a 1.12" Grove OLED screen which looks great! I think I've got most of the details of blocking light and mounting it securely worked out, but it's not like the 2 liner LCDs I'm used to. There's no metal cage to keep out light and dust.

So I'm looking to mount it recessed on a plate and apply a smoked sticker a la the DSI Tempest. I'm not sure if there's a manufacturer for this stuff or it's just a vinyl sticker on top of thin plexiglas sticker. Anyone done anything like this? Is there a better way? I've only got about 1-2mm to play with inside the enclosure. Here's an illustration:

Thanks!
