new to modular synthesis... audio mangling modules |
 |
|
howsit guys, recently been looking into modular stuff for mangleing beats and sounds..
ide like to make it out of various manufacturer components, rather than just one brand, i like the harvestman, Cwejman, tiptop, and they are eurorack, 3.5mm, will these modules fit any to any euro rack? will they integrate together? what other good quality modules will fit?
ive heard some doepfer sounds and thought they were quiet noisey compared to other modular synths.. does anyone disagree, have they got some good modules?
lastly in ur experience, what would be some of the best modules and from which manufacturer would u recommend for mincing/mangling beats up?
similar to sherman filter bank or niio analog iotine.
thanks. |

with loadsa research, i see that eurorack has to types of power connectors, doepfer and Asys. cool ..
so just the right mangling modules now...
been given some helpful advice from paul at schneiderbuero.
TipTop Audio Z-5000 is a nice DSP-effect module in stereo with 16
fx. Several delays and reverbs, Phaser, Flanger & pitchShifter.
- Tip Top also do the Z-DSP, that´s something more complex woth
exchangeable filter/effect cards. It´s voltage controllable and u can
crossmudulate the L/R channels.
- BitCrusher: Doepfer A-189-1, Harvestman Malgorithm, WMD Geiger Counter.
Cwejman RES-4, A-127 as resonators.
- A-116, A-136 and Malekko Assmaster for distorting
- Toppobrillo TripleWaveFolder, Doepfer A-137-1 for wave shaping. Those
are cool with drums!
- 4ms Noise Swash und Atoner for radical noise extraction and destruction
of sound.
- others: A-199 spring reverb, Cwejman FSH-1 frequency shifter |
