Hello,

I'm currently writing my first serious Chuck program. I'm using Machine.add to dynamically spork other Chuck programs :

Code:
Machine.add(machinename) => int seqid;

Here is my question : is there any way to disable the console output for that command ? My console is all messed up by Chuck VM telling me it's sporking a new thread anytime i'm using it :

Quote:
[chuck](VM): sporking incoming shred: x (xxxxx.ck)...

Thanks for your help !

Welcome on board!

Could you explain exactly how it's "all messed up"? Are these lines wrecking a interface drawn with print commands or is something more serious going on? I don't think these can currently be turned off, BTW, but I would be interested to hear how they are messing up your console.

Sorry i'm not explaining myself very well, my english seems not be not that good... by "messed up" i meant that i would like to have in the console only the messages i send by myself (using the console output command), or maybe find an other way to only show what i manually write.

Maybe is there a way to specify a certain log level for the Chuck VM ?

How about this?

Quote:
--verbose(N) / -v(N)
sets the report level to (N). 0 is none, 10 is all, default is 1.

From here;
http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/doc/program/vm.html

That might do the trick if set to 0?

Setting the verbose level to 0 doesn't work, i still got sporking shreds information. But thanks for the link to the VM arguments documentation, i'll look into it.[/quote]
