Sounds like more than a drum and bass. I like the piano coming in at the end, BTW.
What's the difference between a mix and a remix? |

Hey!
I think mix can be anything mixed up like mixsets, multygenre mix etc. but remix should be one track you've made and later remixed it again like I did. U should listen the original one, which is industrial rock with beats.
Thanx for listening! |

So a mix is a combination several tracks you created before which you are combine in a new way, and a remix is a different version of the mix?
Sorry to be lame, but this is something I never did understand... |

a 'remix' is taking the various bits and pieces that comprise a track and re-interpreting them..
maybe by re-ordering the parts..or extending sections..or perhaps making a full, busy mix paired down to the basic, ambient parts
a 12" remix is an extended remix where there might be extended instrumental sections that break down to the component elements..at 331/2 rpm this means about 12 minutes of running time
usually linear vocal lines get chopped up into loops
nowadays, a lot of 'conventional' linear pop music gets a remix treatment..for play in the dance clubs...
an 'extended mix' is when a DJ links up a series of different tracks one after another with no break in the music..sometimes called a 'mega-mix'..but only by those already banned from polite society....usually these songs will all be in the same tempo to make the beat-matched transitions easier
DJ's need things to be easy
of course, sometimes 'remix' can mean..'do the mix over again , the last one was done too late at night'

| Thanks... I've been to clubs a few times and was very impressed by the DJs doing the tempo matching. Red Skull said he was going to remix one of my pieces, I'm really interested to hear what comes from that... |

What a fabulous idea. Anyone volunteer for the DP treatment? |
