Thanks for listening chaps Smile

I have to say, doing AIS has been the best thing ever for me musically, I've had so much practice playing live that I would never have got any other way, and it's made me try out so many different things, and it wouldn't work without people listening, so I must say a big thank you to all my listeners over the years Smile

This episode was inspired by the title of a set I played in at Quadelectronic the night before. My goal for this episode was to make some sort of sonic impression of a weird dream.

As I was in a slightly more experimental mood, I decided to use some different apps to recent episodes, so used photonoise, waveshaper, samplewiz, sunrizer, h.fbk, cp1919 and bowls.

Here's the setup: op-1, ipad run through mini kaoss pad then into dd-20 for looping.

For tonight's Adventures In Sound I feel the need for something mellow, or at least as mellow as I get Smile

Episode 169 now up - I was a bit rusty on my live playing and also dealing with a fair bit of new stuff so not everything went that smoothly. It'll be better next time. Smile

(Heavily manipulated) bleeps sample at the beginning courtecy of PHOBoS.

Edit: I made it better. Get the alternative version here: http://electro-music.com/forum/post-390057.html#390057

Tonight's Adventure In Sound could be quite strange, as I'm just using OP-1 through BugBrand microCrusher looped by DD-20...

here's the recording, a very minimal setup for this one, just op-1, bugbrand microcrusher and dd-20

Very nice set Rob Smile

Thank you Jez. Very Happy

As you have said before, these sets are great practice!

Tonight's Adventures In Sound is dedicated to my friend Kevin Haller who passed away yesterday Sad

modulator_esp · Posted: Thu Oct 03, 2013 2:40 pm Post subject:

and here's the recording for Episode 172, 'Improv for Kevin'. For this one I used the ipad and op-1 through mini kp into dd-20 setup that seems to have become my main looping setup, but added a tenori-on sequencing a tetra, running through another dd-20 for delay

It was quite an emotional journey!

Tonight's Adventures In Sound will the first be from my nearly, but not quite, finished studio and will feature Korg Wavestation, Korg DS8 and EMU XL7, through Frostwave Resonator, looped by Electrix Repeater then reverberated by Alesis Wedge Smile
