But this is for the Nord Modular plain .. also called G1 or Classic .. so .. this should not be in this section, I'll move it ...

But it looks like a nice NM Classic editor, and judging the demo it seems pretty complete and nicer than Mac NM editors I saw before ..

I'll have to try it Cool

Ok, it connects .. can download patches to the mac

- unfortunately it has no cable highlights .. like when you hover over a connector, or maybe when you double click it .. without this it is hard to see where the cabled go.

- the circular motion on knobs .. is .. erm .. odd . .does not work well ..

- I'm .. erm the moduke selector popup seems nice .. with the search function ... but I'm missing the images ..

- The double click on modules showing what they are is nice .. heh .. I was accustomed to remove module meaning .. everywhere from the patch ...

- The values when hovering the mouse over a knob is good.

- The cable color is not always good on editing.

- I do not have multiple NM Classics anymore, had two .. and one broke .. but this editor seems to not support multiple .. maybe when started up under different names a couple of times though. On windows that is easy .. mnot sure on Mac ... buuteh never tried to have apps ouside the apps folder there.

ok .. tjhat was a quick look .. cable editing goes a bit strange for me .. butteh ... i had never used the NM Editor on a Mac before .. and it was a long time ago I've used the Nord Modulars anyway ..

The original Clavia Editor worked good for me on PC BTW - used it there with the RME 802 fx Midi in/out.

On the Mac 'm using Miditech 8x8 [that was a question on youtube .. i'm not going to sign up to youtube to mentionthis/ that]

I'll keep the M Classic connected to Mac for a while -

it looks good to me:)

[And thanks Bill for mentioning it here .. I had not found this one on a recent search .. and the ones I did find I was not so happy with]

Edit: also see : https://github.com/animatek/Animatek-NME/issues .. so yes .. there are a couple of things yet .. yet it looks good :)

Edit 2: The Mac is a macbook air m4 btw .. and I did not try to build a universal Binary .. but os 26 does not complain about intel issuess .. so eh .. i guess it is native .. but i have no idea of such things ...

Ok, the beta warnings are there for a reason .. Smile

patch editing and storing on disk seems to work ok .. but storing on the synth is very messy ..

- You may not see what you've made - the synth may have another idea than the editor.
- I ended up with a patch load > 100% on a patch, but the module causing that was not visible anhymore ..
- There is no wire highlight .. so i could not really see where the wires went to.
- then on reload it would be visible .. deleting the offending module crashed the editor
- I had to go back to the windows editor to fix stuff and in the process I lost a patch.

> uploading a patch with a load > 100% may crash the upload process .. not sure what precisely happened there.

> deleting a module may crash the editor.

- help/Nord Modular Forum :: https://electro-music.com/forum/forum-43.html

- help/Nord Modular Facebook Groups :: https://electro-music.com/forum/forum-43.html .. i think ..

- help/Nord Modular Patches Archive :: https://electro-music.com/nm_classic/

- help/Report a bug :: https://github.com/animatek/Animatek-NME/issues (issue creation is restricted in this reository - yup .. only the devoloper creates issues Shocked )
