My page changed ... https://www.electro-music.com/radio_admin/radio_info_test.php

The speaker symbols on the left now popup some player window instead of opening in my VLC ..

Why was it changed? I do not want this, please revert it.

Also I'm still getting admin mails about new signups, I do not want those.

Anyway .. behind the speaker symbols should just be

an m3u or a pls containing :

http://electro-music.com:8050

etc. for all the ports.

I used to run a php file to generate that stuff .. pff ..

Also the link for external players on the radio page is nort working .. has been defunct for a long time now.

Howard - some people ---really--- want there own players, and not that popup web nonsense.

Also the the port information for user ports got fukt .. currently jez is on and he used to have an image uploaded for his port .. it is not showing anymore.

And I had to restore it manually for my own port.

And I still can not remove people from user groups - and there really is nonsense in the groups.

Jan, thanks for the heads up on these problems.

All 5 items are fixed. The m3u links are a little different but they should work. It turns out that some browsers don't serve http requests in links from https pages Shocked I tested these links in chrome and firefox. There is a forum post with the link information and a link to that post on the radio page that works now.

https://electro-music.com/forum/topic-74977.html

Users are back on self approval as has always been the case. You won't get admin email for new accounts anymore. This has actually been the case for 2 or 3 days.

You can remove users from usergoups. There was a bug on the original forum code that's been there for 20 years. Laughing

I'm confident these things are fixed, but I expect I'm over confident. Rolling Eyes

Please check and let me know...

For radio_info_test [ https://www.electro-music.com/radio_admin/radio_info_test.php ] clicking the speaker symbols will now open the station in an external player .. this is good .. thanks!

but ..

this will not happen for the connector ports .. not in the right way .. those do open in VLC for me and then generate an error

the m3u files are identical though ..

Code:
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,Blue Hell
http://www.electro-music.com:8078

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1,radio 1
http://www.electro-music.com:8050

yet 8078 does not want to play in VLC.

The issue seems to be that

http://www.electro-music.com:8078/

is not available.

The stream is though .. as the html-player works ...

http://www.electro-music.com:8050/ though is available and works ok.

so .. https://electro-music.com/radio/play.php?port=8078 does not work in VLC and https://electro-music.com/radio/play.php?port=8050 does.

Which also means that the 'All' link at the bottom will no longer work .. this one is meant to generate a playlist of all ports .. this was on rewquest of PHOBoS.

The external player link is useful again - thanks :)

.. except that it only works for the stations .. and not for the connectors.

Jan, the connector ports should work in VLC now, including the All link.

One difference you'll notice: the m3u for a connector port now contains

https://electro-music.com/stream/8078

instead of http://electro-music.com:8078. On the new engine the connector port itself is only the door your encoder logs into (that part is unchanged - same port, same password). The listener side comes out of Icecast, and /stream/8078 is where it lives. Raw port listening can't come back without moving everyone's source login ports, which I don't want to do. VLC plays the https link the same way.

The 7 station ports still use the direct http://electro-music.com:8050 style links.

One note: a connector port with nobody connected will give VLC an error - same as the sc_serv days, nothing on the port until someone is on it.

Please give it a try and let me know.

It works - thank you.

And .. hmm .. yeah .. re-assigning port numbers would seem a good idea .. to bring some order in the historic mess .. yet confusing .. indeed.
