It's my project
https://github.com/JanBurp/NordModularG2-Editor
I work 1-2 days a week on it since last month or so. It's getting very well, allthough it is still a lot of work. Last week (not updated yet on the GitHub repo) i did a lot of 'basic stuff' that is very important for the overal feel and workability:
- USB: refactured so it is now much much faster! param changes from G2 reflects immediatly in the editor.
- USB: connecting, disconnecting now stable. Auto connects when editor starts.
- USB: unplug and replug usb-cable automatically connects again with editor.
- File handling improved: loading, saving all works as expected with normal UX flow and key-commands
- Key commands for slot, variation, area switching, and rightpane selecting.
- A lot more module components are rendered. Still a lot of work to do here.
- And a lot of small UX improvements
In a few weeks i hope to have something others can test. _________________ if you don't know where you're going, you will allways arrive |

Hallo Jan.
After running :
xattr -cr /Applications/G2\ Editor.app
it opens and connects to the G2 [on m4 macbook air] - I have only one g2 connected currently, would more work too?
The error message was a tad odd .. it was not the usual downloaded from the web message .. but rather it said the app to be corrupt [and that I should delte - of course ]
I'm getting lights as well.
The knob mode (circular etc. ) can not be set yet?
The wire thickness can not be set yet?
I have a request too .. light mode please .. dark mode just does not work for me
Anyway, I did not really .. or really not, rather .. test anything yet - not only is it too hot and yoo humid .. but am also setting up my music stuff again after having been from home with some of the gear, now moving more to the mac, and make it more portable ... oh and also there is the radio event tomorrow .. so after the event and after the heat .. hopefully soon
and re: If donations grow substantial i may buy myself a second hand Nord G2 Engine for testing purposes. - please PM me about that.
BTW .. and irrelevant here .. but maybe interesting for other NM folks .. for the NM Classic the Nord Modular Editor ( Byte Order ) seems to work on m4 .. with miditech 8x8 .. and that combo also worked well with the original editor on my pc laptop. |

Thanks for testing @blue-hell. This is also very helpfull
Your wishes for the UX (knobs, cables, theme) are noted. At this time i focus on some bugs, comms and rendering and a few other features first though.
And yes, it is too hot. it slows down everything...

Next big update! Version 0.7.0 ready. |
 |
|
I just release the next version (v0.7.0) of my editor. A major big update! Allmost everything the original clavia editor can do is implemented. With some UX and patching improvements. The only things missing are the Patch Mutator and Adjuster and the bigger panel with all Parameter Assignments. I will implement those in the next big update.
https://janburp.github.io/NordModularG2-Editor/
And i made a video with an introduction to my editor and a showcase of the patching improvements compared to the original editor:
