I was fortunate enough to have met Travis Thatcher (Recompas) at the EM05 Fest in Philly, unfortunately I did not get to catch his set as I was setting up for my own across the hall. Travis had mentioned that he was goign on the road in July and needed help getting a show in Tenn., so that's what I did, got him show. And his set was amazing! 30 or so minutes of lush, seductive music. Great beats and tasty sax lines. He turned many heads, and everyone was all smiles with their heads bobbing to the music. Nice set Travis, glad I could help.

Wow, that's great to hear. That's what this site/community is all about. Very Happy

Absolutely! From yOUr opening speech at EM05, that point really sunk in. And if anyone is ever traveling through Tennessee and needs a gig, please let me know. We can all benefit from this network, wether it be here in the states or abroad. Take care all!

I saw Travis' set here in Tennessee. Wow! One piece in particular reminded me a lot of Weather Report. He was playing tenor sax to a processed Rhodes track he built, and it sounded great.
