Wasn't 100% sure where to put this post.
My album Splices and Phases released initially as a download & then this year as a limited 50 Cdr digipak. The album picked up good reviews:
Sideline magazine - Soiled remains experimental-like, but the sound is accessible for all lovers of minimal electronic experiences.
The Quietus - It is a rather unique, loose, expressionistic collage style yet manages to keenly infer a peculiarly English style of strange fiction.
Hynagogue music blog - Splices and Phases is quite content to punch you in the ears and then ask what you thought of it. Its appeal will be limited, but it can’t be denied that there is a lot of work going on. Noisy, distorted, disjointed work, but work nonetheless. Experimental music fans should definitely tune in
A Closer Listen - An unusual album from an enigmatic artist,
where else might one encounter anger and sadness, curiosity and resignation in one instrumental set?
Mojo Magazine - Autumn in Flashbacks - The seasonal shift to deepening shadows, a late blaze of sun through cold clear air, is perfectly captured on this crumbling russet-bright composition by dark ambient maestro Marcus H.
Noise polluter (USA) - Each song is individually beautiful and the album itself is cohesive and magnificent.Splices and phases’ is a darkly gorgeous album that I highly recommend. Listen to it on a night drive or a rainy morning. Trust me on this one.
I still have five copies left of the Cdr. Available via https://elmlodgerecordsuk.bandcamp.com/album/splices-and-phases
Thanks for all support Marcus H.
Look out for live project Warped Freqs next year. |
