Hello in here,

long time no see, huh? Yeah, I have been doing lot of other stuff recently, from learning different languages (HTML5 & C++), reading a lot (Silence from John Cage and lot of stuff about drones and minimalism in music) to producing videos and working of film festival.

So I´m quite sorry, that I can show you this photos now, instead of start of summer break, when I finished these (and had a quite bad response from jury, caused by my inability to explain my work properly, ehm).

This is documentation of my final semester project on Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno (Czech Republic).

Every picture is representation of binary data collected from combination of two cmos chips, one for generation of signal and second for mixing them together via basic logic functions ad absurdum.
Every piece is named by each logic function respectively (XOR, NOR & NAND).
Each frame had a mp3 player with a speaker placed behind, playing recorded sound of data stream.

Made with Arduino & Processing.

Thanks to Kateřina Hikadová for providing those big black frames.
See the rest of photos of Flikcr!

This is interesting.
I have wanted to see binary algorithms physicalized for some time.
Reminds me a little of Phillip Stearns Glitch Textiles.

Could you elaborate more on the process of getting these images?
Im not familiar with Arduino nor processing. Did you use CMOS circuitry at any stage of the process?

I would love to know more...
