Pedal questions |
 |
|
Hi folks
Had a Stage 88 for about a year, mainly for the rhodes and wurli. Lovin' it.
Just started delving into the world of the hammond. To my untrained ears it sounds awesome.
so.... what make/model pedal would you recommend buying for the organ swell? Preferably something cheap but also well built - i seem to get through about 3 sus pedals a year.
All thoughts/suggestions much appreciated. I know all about pedals
thanks

Hi Andy
welcome to electro-music.com
I use a Roland DP10, it's the only damper pedal worth buying IMO

Hi Seraph,
thanks for your reply, and for the welcome!
Now, i could be completely wrong here, - and its probably my fault for not explaining myself properly - but for the Organ Swell function on the Nord, a damper pedal wouldn't do - I think I need an 'expression pedal' with a more variable resistance control (I've tried my sustain pedals and they dont work!!!)
Something like a Roland EV-5 / Roland EV-7 / Yamaha FC7 ... I Think ... Have you had any experience with them?
Cheers! |

oh I'm sorry I was thinking about the rotor speed
Anyway, I'm using two Yamaha FC7s as expression pedals and two Roland DP10s as switches. _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

| I say get the Yamaha FC-7. They have the largest sweep to them, and feel most like the pedal on a B3, compared to the other, popular options from Roland, Korg, etc. |

| the cables short on mine from time to time, but there's usually always a few kicking around at my local store... The only drag about them is you have to replace the cable with THEIR part... no other part will work. |
