Well, the scotch whiskey came flying out my nose tonight!

What can EDN possibly be thinking about rejecting Loss1234? He would certainly be one of the greatest money-makers they ever hooked up to.

Anyways, why not make a one off DIY kit and sell it to Lossy..
The obvious choice would be the "Thomas Henry Claymore".

TH:

I just posted on the Loss1234 EDN thread. I really wanted to say that this publication was so far over his head it would probably throw his brain into seizure. It would be a total waste of paper and ink.

But seriously, if you want to get a EDN subscription, I would suggest saying you are engineering manager of Midwest Analog Products. When they ask how many employees, just make us mod helpers honorary employees and count us. Doesn't say you have to actually pay us! I did something similar when I left electronics for 2 years to work on cranes and hoists and it worked, no problem.

Didn't EDN publish a couple of your circuits back in the 1980's? I remember the 555-based ADSR and one other one that was one of your staples or am I thinking of another publication? It was definitely out of your usual Polyphony/Popular Electronics/Nuts and Volts gallery.

I never had one in EDN, but did have four choice ones published in Electronics (from McGraw-Hill). That included my wild double-rectification technique for the NE570, one of the most overlooked circuits ever.

Actually I was never all that keen on EDN and would have no trouble getting it via my school connections. I just wanted to see if Loss1234 would pick up on: "why should they send you a subscription?" Apparently it never occurred to him that they put the magazine out to make money in the long run.
