Tuesday June 1st - Embracing the Glass

Visiting from Worcester, Massachusetts, Embracing the Glass
will be performing three sets - two short solos and a longer duo.

Jeff Sampson: Looped and layered voices creating a slowly
evolving long-form soundscape. No samples or pre-recorded loops
- all sounds are voice-only and generated live.

Sean Carroll: Guitar-synth with an attitude. Washes, textures and
solos - spooky, aggressive and soft. Probably not as loop-oriented
as Jeff's set, but they'll be there and he'll also likely have his
sample-playing laptop with him.

Embracing the Glass: Guitar-synth and voice creating atmospheric
ambience. Sombre, sweet, dark, ethereal and haunting. They've
been working on some longer-form pieces - upwards of 35 minutes
and plan on debuting one of them this night. Look for EtG CDs at
the *ping things* table. http://www.burningshirt.com/etg/etg.html

Between Sets CD - "Beat Hollow" by fognode:::
Brian Siskind's fognode::: project mixes downtempo beats
with spacious ambience featuring his floating pedal steel work
(yes, he's from Nashville), synth & bass and Mark Fauver's flute.
